About Graham Bruce: 30 Years of Trusted Expertise
My name is Graham Bruce. I began my career in building surveying at just 18 years old, working in a local Ayrshire surveying practice before joining Richardson & Starling as a trainee surveyor in 1996.
Over the next three decades, I proudly worked my way up through most operational and technical roles in the business. My journey took me from trainee surveyor and branch manager, to managing director, and later, director of technical & business development.
During my career, I have secured many significant long-term contracts with local authorities and worked closely with homeowners, building surveyors and contractors to solve complex damp, timber, and mould issues.

I believe in doing things right, which is why I have dedicated time to raising standards across the industry:
- Industry Knowledge: I’ve worked in most technical, operational and senior management roles within a multiple award winning and one of the leading preservation specialist companies in the UK.
- Property Care Association: From 2024 to 2026, I served on the Board of the Property Care Association (PCA), as a Non-Executive Director and Vice Chair.
- Fully Qualified: I hold recognised PCA qualifications in CSRT and CSSW, along with SMSTS.
- Sharing Knowledge: I have delivered CPD and technical workshops to local authorities, housing associations, and building professionals all across Scotland.

After 30 years with one of the UK’s leading preservation specialists, I decided it was time for a change. I chose to step away to enjoy a better work / life balance and to build a business of my own.
Corrie Specialist Surveys reflects that major life change. My goal is simple: to provide an independent, honest service focused on delivering clear, reliable advice without the conflict of selling repair work.
